Praying Sinners

I maintain health by constant lying/
a hat to cover my final play/
from beginning to end always been/
this art I crafted from many days
I say, I stay, I decay/
until my doings blind my way/
I pray

I grieve in many ways/
I blame my weakling will/
I feel/
I see none except my sinful seas/
the unbroken glasses/
the shattered unheard/
the unfavoured phrases/
the verses I hurt

Wish to be faithful like I was/
an innocent boy, a curse/
wish to unknowingly naive/
newly birth cleanse from many dreadful
unseen the seen/
throw sin in the wind/
cater not the unbeliever/
choose to accept neither/
their sinning prayers nor/
their praying sinners
